Contemporary sculpture in Hamburg

Following my first two trips to China I was approached by a generous and talented fellow artist - painter Carl Roehrig (known to his friends as "Pablo") from Hamburg, Germany.

Pablo enjoys contemporary sculpture and wanted to give me an opportunity to exhibit.

So... on the 21st of September 2002, I was a guest artist at his annual autumn studio show.

Here is a preview of work I created for this sculpture exhibition within the larger framework of Carl's studio show...

Other work for the show included cold cast resin copies of all of the Chinese sculpture portraits I made during the 2001 China Changchun International Sculpture Symposium and other compositions using fragments of my Chinese portraits.
